Christina Lauren is the shared pen name of Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, an American writing duo who met in online fan-fiction communities in the late 2000s and began collaborating before either had published original fiction. Billings holds a PhD in neuroscience; Hobbs worked in education. Their commercial debut, Beautiful Bastard (2013), originated as a rewritten fan work and launched a partnership that has produced more than thirty novels across romantic comedy, women's fiction, and young adult, including The Unhoneymooners (2019), Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating, Love and Other Words, Roomies, and The Soulmate Equation. They are known for alternating projects between lighter comedies and more emotional standalones, plotting jointly and writing in a single merged voice. Multiple titles have been optioned for film and television.
