An open book
How judging works
Other catalogs scale by crowd-editing. This one scales slowly, on purpose: one reader, every claim signed. Here is the whole method, published.
The three strengths
Core trope — it drives the whole book; remove it and the book collapses.
Has it — genuinely present and delivered, but the book stands without it.
Marketing only — promised on the cover, absent on the page. We say so.
Every claim carries
A reason in plain words, a signature, and a date. No claim ships without all three; a claim without a reason is deleted, not published.
Facts versus claims
Measured facts (endings, doors, structure) come from the text and carry a confidence tier. Judged claims come from reading and carry an argument. The two are never mixed, and the interface always shows which one you are looking at.
Gaps are data
An unjudged book says "not yet judged" — it is never filled in by scraping, guessing, or averaging strangers. The absence is honest.
When the desk is wrong
Corrections are a door, not a fight: file one here. Reader reports of upsetting content appear labeled as reader-reported — the desk does not launder them into facts.
