Taylor Jenkins Reid

Taylor Jenkins Reid, born in 1983 in Maryland, is an American novelist who worked in casting and as a high-school teacher in Los Angeles before publishing her first novel, Forever, Interrupted, in 2013. Her early books were contemporary women's fiction; her career transformed with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (2017), which became a long-running bestseller years after publication through sustained word of mouth, eventually selling millions of copies. It began an informal quartet of novels about fictional famous women — continuing with Daisy Jones & The Six (2019), Malibu Rising (2021), and Carrie Soto Is Back (2022) — often interconnected by shared characters and set across twentieth-century California. Daisy Jones & The Six was adapted as an Amazon limited series in 2023, and adaptations of several other titles, including Evelyn Hugo at Netflix, have been announced. Her novel Atmosphere was published in 2025. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
