Faebound

Two elven sisters are pushed beyond the borders of everything they know after a military failure leads to exile. One has been shaped by war and command; the other gets by through reading signs and searching for a future less violent than the present. In the wilderness they encounter a hidden fae court believed absent for generations, a place of beauty, power, and captivity whose rules are not theirs to set. The sisters must navigate divided loyalties between each other, their homeland, and the people who now hold them. The fantasy treats romance and political danger as connected pressures rather than separate plots. Attraction can alter allegiance, while old conflicts make every private choice public. The story's strongest thread is the bond between the sisters, tested by unequal knowledge and different ideas of freedom as they enter a society both seductive and threatening.
